From DVOC's Delaware Valley Birds: "Salt marshes, impoundments, and agricultural fields, especially near tidal marshes. Seen migrating over inland sites, with occasional individuals found at a variety of sites. Large flocks at Forsythe NWR, NJ from fall to early winter. Delaware Bay flocks overwinter. Much more common on Delaware Bay coastal plain. Freeze limited. Increasing."
