Organize Yourself
  • Choose your date
    • Every bird is countable during the month of June
    • Not every bird is easy to find that month!
      • Check out earlier dates if you want to specialize in Hawks, Owls, etc.
  • Review the topo and aerial maps
    • Atlas site has these.
    • Google Earth can give bigger picture

  • Get some friends together
    • Rent a cabin or house
    • Plan on joint meals
  • A weekend in a beautiful part of PA with friends who company you enjoy can make for a great experience.
