Finding Mountain Trogons
1.Check mixed flocks of Jays in the Pine-Oak habitats of Southeastern Arizona (our bird stayed with the flock).
2.Listen for the soft, chuckling, hollow, rapid Yellow-billed Cuckoo-like ceow-ceow-ceow-ceow-ceow call sung only occasionally
3.Understand that the call is easily overlooked in the cacophony of a mixed flock of jays
4.Understand that this bird is extremely difficult to see
