"A few years ago, I happened upon a bird banding station while I was vacationing in S. Alabama. After a few hours listening to Bob and Martha Sargent, the coordinators of this banding station, and seeing the beautiful birds, I was hooked. I've been back to visit that banding station the past three years. Locally, I bird at Tinicum, Carpenter's Woods and the Pennypack Environmental Trust. I've also birded spots in southern NJ. Just a few months ago (2007) I went birding in Arizona and saw 13 species of hummingbird, a definite highlight of the trip!"
