At Island Lake in the Ruby Mountains after seeing the Himalayan Snowcock.

"At age 16 I became hooked on birding during a 9 week camping trip through the western US. With a borrowed pair of binoculars and a Golden field guide, I was able to identify over 100 species. I birded through college, but life's other pursuits took me away from any regular birding for a number of years. However, during the past 8 years, I have gradually been getting to many of the prime birding spots in the ABA area including Adrian Binns's trips to Utah, Florida and Colorado. I should see my 600th ABA species this year, but my main goal in to improve my birding skills in the tri-state area."
