Field Trip to Pedricktown & SW New Jersey
Saturday,
April 3rd, 2004
We will bird much of SW New Jersey looking for Ruff, Bald Eagle,
spring migrants, etc.
The 5:15 AM meeting spot is at the intersection
of Center Square Rd. & the railroad tracks.
We will look for Am. Woodcock and then check some other spots before heading
to the 7:00 AM rendezvous at the causeway.
It is best to carpool from your departure
spot. You could conceivably leave your car at the causeway, but we may not be
returning to the same location, so bring a map.
Pack a lunch. We will stop at Richman’s
Ice Cream.
Directions from Philadelphia : Take I-95 south to the Commodore Barry Bridge. Go south on rte. 130 for
approx. 2.7 miles. Go left on Center Square Rd. The RR Tracks are only a short
distance. Go an additional 1.7 miles on Center Square Rd. to reach Pedricktown Rd. Make a right, and
park on the right shoulder just before the causeway.
