Birding Guide to Eastern Pennsylvania
Meeting

1/30/08 Update 1) The room has been changed to Room 440S in the Acopian
Biology Building, right next to Seegers Union. It is called the "New
Science Building" on the campus map at 2) Please let me (Dan Kunkle) know if you are coming -- some already have and do not have to respond -- so we know how much we need for refreshments and how many copies of papers to run off. (No need to tell me if you cannot make it) 3) For those who cannot attend, we will be sending minutes and site lists for your electronic comments after the meeting. |
As most of you know, we are working on a guide to birding in eastern PA for PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Schuylkill River Heritage Area and the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. Many of you have been helping us by nominating sites and supplying site description information.
We have made great progress in the past 3 months and need your input at this point to help make sure we have the best possible product. We are therefore inviting you to a meeting on February 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Muhlenberg College (tentatively) in the Student Union to provide us with your input regarding the guide. Refreshments will be served. We are waiting for confirmation on a room number and will pass that along as soon as we have it.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
a. Review sample site description
b. Review list of sites -- any additions or subtractions
c. Volunteers to do any remaining site descriptions needed
d. Discuss organization of guide, supplemental text, sidebars,
migratory calendar, intro
e. Develop top 10 sites lists and seasonal "don't miss" areas
