About Us...Why this site was created: Due to the geographical location of the Delaware Valley (the name given to the region that lays either side of the Delaware River, centered on Philadelphia, consisting of southeastern Pennsylvania, central and southern Jersey and north-central Delaware), there was no website that combined all the birding information within this region. With that in mind, the DVOC felt that the birding community would benefit from a website that would provide ALL the necessary BIRDING INFORMATION to bird within a 75-mile radius of Philadelphia. Keeping information up to date: While all attempts are made to keep the information up to date and current, please be advised that the ever-changing nature of the World Wide Web sometimes can leave us a little behind. This site relies heavily upon being kept up-dated with changes and information, and if this information does not reach us in a timely fashion and/or you notice that you cannot retrieve the information you are looking for, please forgive us, and let us know so that we can update our files. Contributors: The following individuals and organizations have provided invaluable data and help in providing information for this site.
