Witmer Stone Award

Awarded at the annual banquet to one or more DVOC members for the best publication which embodies the results of ornithological research not undertaken in the course of professional duties. This award was established in 1943.

Rosalie Edge Conservation Award

Bob Billings Award

In 2009, John R. ("Bob") Billings, a DVOC member for 44 years, left money to the club to endow an annual prize of $200 to the person who has seen "the largest number of birds during each prior calendar year." To ensure that this award is funded in perpetuity many club members, lead by Hart Rufe, have made additional donations.
